Cheryl Axleby

Cheryl Axleby is a Narungga woman from the Yorke Peninsula. Currently working as Head of Aboriginal Housing and is the National co-Chair of Change the Record. Cheryl has previously worked as the chief executive of the Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement and as National co-Chair of National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Services. With 40 years of experience working in the Aboriginal community sector, law and justice, women’s issues, family violence, youth justice, child protection and Aboriginal housing, she is passionate about influencing positive change and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
