Desley Edwards a Torres Strait Islander woman who joined the Tjindu Foundation in 2023 as a year twelve teacher. She is a dedicated educational professional specialising in Aboriginal Education and improving students’ literacy skills.
Desley inspires youth to feel successful by providing flexible learning options. Doing this creates positive learning opportunities and outcomes for students. She empowers them to excel in sports, education, and future career pathways.
Desley is studying for her Master of Education at Flinders University and completing her national Lead Certification.
