Joey Wyatt

Joey Wyatt was raised on Ngarrindjeri Country with connections to to Noongar Wongi Yamatji on his father’s side, and the Kokatha peoples on his mother’s side.
He’s been a lifelong sportsperson having represented Raukkan in Aboriginal football, as well as a number of senior clubs including Sturt in the SANFL and several Adelaide Footy League, Hills Football League and River Murray football clubs.
Combined with his experience as a youth worker at Connected Self, Joey’s experience helping to promote positive wellbeing opportunities for young people saw him taken on a mentorship role with the Aboriginal Basketball Academy for the past seven years. In 2023, he will become one of the Tjindu Foundation Academy program’s mentors.
